James Anderson, a plumber from Lancashire in the UK, quit his job in 2017 to start a non-profit that provides free emergency plumbing and heating repairs to seniors and low-income families. Although donations cover the cost of most repairs, Anderson has gone into substantial personal debt to ensure the needy get the repairs they need.
“A lot of people close to me ask, ‘Why are you getting yourself in to debt? Why are you doing this?’ To me, debt is debt. I would rather owe some money to somebody and another person be alive and happy and safe.”James Anderson
Anderson is using his skills to serve the elderly and needy of his community and we salute him!
