We Salute Daphne Youree

When the Long Island Expressway was flooded, leaving hundreds of commuters stranded, Daphne Youree, age 50, trudged into the floodwaters and cleared the storm drain with a traffic cone.

When I got out I saw a bunch of guys standing around talking about how someone needs to go do something. Someone suggested we see how deep it was. But no one wanted to do it. So I volunteered.
